What Individualized Care contributes to Cardinal Health Clinical Operations is responsible for providing clinical specialties support and expertise in the areas of advice and consulting, research and patient care to internal business units and external customers. Individualized Care provides care that is planned to meet the particular needs of an individual patient. Job Summary The Nurse, Individualized Care promotes high-quality patient care and customer support. This role offers an opportunity to support two programs and combine patient education, clinical expertise, and patient safety activities while working closely with pharmaceutical partners, healthcare professionals, and patients across multiple therapeutic areas. Virtual Injection Training Nurse The Virtual Injection Training Nurse promotes high-quality patient care by providing individualized injection education and support to patients initiating therapy with assigned pharmaceutical products. Key responsibilities include: Receive and respond to inbound patient calls. Schedule and complete outbound patient Welcome and Injection Training calls. Conduct virtual injection training sessions via TEAMS for enrolled patients and caregivers. Document patient interactions in accordance with program requirements. Recognize, document, and report adverse events in compliance with FDA regulations and client requirements. Pharmacovigilance Registered Nurse The Pharmacovigilance RN serves as a clinical resource supporting patient safety and regulatory compliance initiatives. This nurse partners with internal and external stakeholders to evaluate and manage safety information related to pharmaceutical products. Key responsibilities include: Conduct adverse event case intake and follow-up activities. Review and assess safety information received from healthcare professionals, patients, and other reporting sources. Perform clinical assessments and ensure accurate documentation of case information. Collaborate with Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Quality Assurance, and Manufacturing teams. Support pharmacovigilance processes and maintain compliance with applicable regulatory requirements. Contribute to the timely identification, escalation, and reporting of safety-related information. Utilize strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills to evaluate complex patient scenarios. Qualifications Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license. Minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience is preferred. Experience in patient education, pharmaceutical support services, and/or pharmacovigilance, is preferred. Superior verbal and written communication skills. Experience utilizing electronic documentation systems and Microsoft Office applications. Ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing multiple priorities. Strong attention to detail and commitment to regulatory compliance.
