We are seeking Florida-licensed LPNs and RNs for PRN nursing opportunities in clients’ homes. This role may be a good fit for nurses who enjoy one-on-one care, are comfortable working independently, and value support from an office and nursing team. Schedule & Availability PRN scheduling is based on current client needs and may include: Day visits Evening visits Overnight shifts Weekend availability Short skilled nursing visits Recurring case assignments when available Schedules may vary based on client needs, nurse availability, location, and case requirements. Hours cannot be guaranteed. Key Responsibilities Provide skilled nursing care in the client’s home according to the established plan of care Assess and monitor client condition Report changes, concerns, or significant findings promptly Administer medications and treatments as ordered Support clients with chronic conditions, post-hospital needs, and ongoing nursing needs Provide client and family education related to care and safety Communicate with physicians, families, and members of the care team as appropriate Complete accurate and timely documentation in the WellSky app Follow agency policies, nursing direction, and client-specific care plans Communicate with the office regarding patient status, scheduling, and care concerns Qualifications Active Florida LPN or RN license in good standing Home care, private duty, hospice, hospital, or related nursing experience preferred Strong clinical judgment and observation skills Ability to work independently in a private home setting Valid Driver’s License Current Auto Insurance Reliable Transportation Current hands-on CPR certification, or willingness to obtain TB test, PPD, or lab screening within the required timeframe, or qualifying chest X-ray Eligibility for Level 2 AHCA background screening, or willingness to complete the required screening: https://info.flclearinghouse.com Ability to communicate clearly and complete required documentation Dependable attendance and professional conduct About McKenney Home Care McKenney Home Care provides private-duty home care services throughout Sarasota and Charlotte County.
