Salinas Valley Post Acute is seeking a dedicated and flexible Registered Nurse (RN) for a part-time, PRN / On-Call position. We are looking for an adaptable nursing professional with open availability across the week, including all shifts (days, evenings, and nights) on both weekdays and weekends. Position Overview Job Type: Part-Time / PRN (On-Call) Compensation: $49.00 – $54.00 per hour (depending on experience) Location: Salinas, CA Schedule: Flexible shifts; requires open availability for weekdays, weekends, and various shift times. Key Responsibilities Deliver high-quality, patient-centered nursing care to residents in a post-acute and rehabilitation setting. Assess patient health problems, develop and implement nursing care plans, and maintain accurate medical records. Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and provide wound care or other specialized treatments as prescribed. Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to optimize patient recovery and outcomes. Supervise and guide Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) on shift. Respond promptly to on-call requests and fill shift vacancies to ensure safe staffing levels. Qualifications Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of California. Current BLS/CPR certification. True open availability across the week, including readiness to work days, evenings, nights, weekdays, and weekends. Previous experience in post-acute, skilled nursing, or long-term care preferred but not required. Strong clinical assessment, communication, and problem-solving skills.
