Full Job Description
MedStaffers, LLC is hiring a Registered Nurse Manager in the Altoona, Blair County office. Qualified applicants should be a PA registered nurse, have solid experience with skilled home health or private duty assessments, and be familiar with the PA DOH Chapter 601 regulations and Chapter 51 Regulations. The RN manager is responsible for the growth and success of the Altoona office. Oversight and regular client visits (intakes and re-certifications) are expected as well as hiring appropriate field staff. Duties and Responsibilities: Receives and evaluates referrals for home care and home health cases Conducts intakes that include background information, diagnosis and services required for care Completes 90-day recertification for skilled care Communicates with physicians to review orders and report concerns Supervises nursing staff and completes competency checks Identifies and verifies insurance coverage and receives authorization to provide care for client Directs licensed and unlicensed staff in following the client’s plan of care and provides any training that is required Participates case conference and PAC meetings Manages all skilled home health cases Conducts quarterly record reviews and communicates findings and recommendations to the assigned Regional Executive Director Assists in the screening and interviewing process and makes recommendations for employment Assists in the orientation of new staff members Assists with planning, implementing and evaluating continuing education programs Assists in the formulation, revision, implementation, and evaluation of policies and procedures, and strategic goals and objectives Complies with professional standards and principles Participates in public relations and community activities that promote MedStaffers role as an effective member of the health care delivery system Provides clinical guidance and resources to employees and clients Travel is expected and can be moderate to heavy at times Qualifications/Experience: Valid PA Registered Nurse License CPR certified One year of experience with home health/private duty assessments One year of supervisory experience Valid Drivers License and automobile insurance PA Criminal and Child Abuse Background checks Benefits: Competitive wages, health care/dental/vision benefits, employee funded AFLAC programs, PTO and sick time.
