Compass Surgical Partners is seeking an experienced clinical leader to serve as Director of Nursing at St. Francis Ambulatory Surgery Center. As the senior clinical leader for the center, you’ll be responsible for building and leading the clinical team, ensuring exceptional patient care and regulatory compliance, and establishing the clinical standards and operating practices that will support the center from launch through long-term growth. Working closely with the center CEO, physician partners, and Compass clinical leadership, you’ll play a critical role in creating a culture of clinical excellence, accountability, and collaboration while ensuring the center delivers safe, efficient, high-quality surgical care. With two operating rooms and one procedure room, the center will provide high-quality, cost-effective outpatient surgical care across orthopedics, ENT, spine, and podiatry. Developed in partnership with Bon Secours Mercy Health and Compass Surgical Partners, St. Francis combines the strength of an established health system with Compass’s expertise in developing and managing high-performing ambulatory surgery centers. Role Summary: The Director of Nursing (DON) oversees all nursing services and clinical operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality care. This full-time, exempt leadership role supervises a dynamic clinical team and manages patient care for outpatient surgeries, including Orthopedics, ENT, Spine, and Podiatry procedures across 2 operating rooms and 1 procedure room. Hours: Full-time, Monday–Friday What You’ll do: Lead and manage nursing and clinical teams Maintain high standards of patient care, safety, and infection control Ensure regulatory and accreditation compliance Oversee staffing, scheduling, and supply management Collaborate with physicians and administration to support center goals Serve as administrative leader in the Administrator’s absence What You’ll bring: Active RN license with BLS, and ACLS certifications Bachelor’s degree preferred 2+ years of nursing leadership, preferably in outpatient surgery Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills Compensation & Benefits: The expected base salary range for this position is $110,000-125,000 annually Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, and 401k Why Compass Surgical Partners?
