Overview Prefer that the candidate has Oncology RN experience 1-2yrs. Prefer that the candidate has at least 3-5yrs of RN experience. Ideal candidate has previous experience in the Clinic setting >2yrs as a RN. Ideal candidate has either supervisor experience or has been a lead, UNL or a charge nurse in the past. The RN Supervisor will be responsible for the coordination and oversight of day-to-day clinical and operational activities within the oncology clinic settings at the Carle Cancer Institute. This role provides nursing leadership, clinical oversight, and operational support to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care. The supervisor coordinates staffing, scheduling, and is accountable for all timekeeping and staff performance evals. In collaboration with manager, is responsible for interviewing, hiring, and terminating staff. Must ensure high quality and cost-effective department performance and perform staff functions. If the RN Spvr is needing to cover the RN clinic position, there will be times that hours may extend to cover needs. Responsibilities Coordinates daily nursing activities of Patient Care unit.Performs essential job functions of direct reports.Recommend various personnel actions including but not limited to hiring, performance appraisals, discipline, and promotions. Ensures direct reports are adequately trained and are competent to perform all required job tasks.Resolves work related issues, or assists employees in solving work related issues, confers with manager to resolve more complex situations.Assists in development and review of department policies, procedures, standing orders, and competencies. Maintain staff schedules to ensure coverage for all physicians' worklists Holds regular meetings with staff for information dissemination, education. Performs annual evaluations on direct reports. Salary Range The compensation range for this position is $41per hour - $70.52per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
