More about our team The registered nurse (RN) plans, coordinates and implements patient care specific to the age of the patient population served in the Behavioral Health Hospital.  The RN ensures that quality care is provided in an efficient and safe manner, consistent with departmental standards of care. The RN demonstrates performance consistent with the mission, philosophy and goals of the assigned unit and the organization. They remain flexible to changing systems - are expected to demonstrate quality and effectiveness in work habits and clinical practices, and treat staff, physicians, patients and families with consideration and respect.  * 18 Bed In-Patient Unit  * 12 Hour Shifts * 24/7 Crisis Triage Facility    How you’ll contribute  Provides direct patient care using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice for behavioral health patients. Collaborates with the interprofessional team to support a safe, therapeutic environment and high-quality outcomes. Reports to the Director or Manager of Department. Essential Functions * Performs plan-of-care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities. * Documents patient care provided in a timely and accurate manner. * Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physicians, patients, and families. * Assists patients with activities of daily living (hygiene, elimination, nutrition, ambulation). * Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate care (transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs). * Assesses learning needs and delivers age-/culture-appropriate patient and family education. * Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient. * Participates in unit and organizational performance improvement and required continuing education. * Provides quality patient care and works other shifts/units as needed; may be assigned on-call. * Performs other duties as assigned.   Why join us Fundamental to providing great care is supporting and rewarding our team. Additional requirements include: * Active Washington RN license (single-state) or compact required. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins. * BLS * 1 year of behavioral health RN experience required.  * Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred * Critical thinking and decisive judgment skills; able to work with minimal supervision in stressful environments.  * Ability to quickly learn and navigate multiple clinical software systems.   About our Health System Lourdes Medical Center is a 35-bed hospital located in Pasco, WA, and Lourdes Behavioral Health is a 48-bed hospital located in Richland, WA, and is part of Lifepoint Health [https://lifepointhealth.net/locations], a diversified healthcare delivery network committed to making communities healthier® with acute care, rehabilitation, and behavioral health facilities from coast to coast.
