OVERVIEW We are currently seeking a Project Nurse for our Transportation Group in Cincinnati, OH. The Project Nurse is responsible for providing professional nursing care to on-site employees and assists with the coordination, implementation and monitoring of all aspects of the corporate safety program at assigned project locations. Refers patients to emergency care or other treatment facilities as needed. Follows up with employees to assess and report on improvement/or lack of improvement to assess for OMP visit. Works with providers to ensure Walsh’s commitment to assist/take responsibility for employee care and improvement. Administers weekly random UDS and administers pre-employment UDS as needed. Manages all Safety record-keeping processes and procedures and ensures all medical records comply with Federal, State or Local regulations. Assesses project for Injury Prevention opportunities. Conducts various safety training, such as Pulmonary Protection and Silicosis Prevention Training. Administers injections or vaccines, as needed. Provides education to anyone with medical questions and refers to physician, if necessary. QUALIFICATIONS AS Degree in Nursing from an Accredited University; BSN preferred. Valid non-restricted Licensure as a Registered Nurse. At least 3 - 5 years nursing experience in a fast- paced acute care environment. Ability to perform autonomously. Must have baseline working knowledge of applicable standards. Updated BAT/PortaCount/Urinalysis proficiency. May be exposed to all weather conditions.
