Responsibilities The nursing education supervisor provides leadership based on the vision, mission, philosophy, and core values of Mayo Clinic, Department of Nursing, and EPD. The nursing education supervisor plans, directs, coordinates, and evaluates the operational personnel, and fiscal activities to ensure the provision of high quality education across the care continuum. The role includes ongoing collaboration and communication utilizing participative decision making when appropriate. The nursing education supervisor is responsible for promoting ongoing development of all staff and for maintaining a professional environment in which all staff can grow and develop. The supervisor applies current nursing and leadership theories to coordinate educational services. The nursing education supervisor acts as a resource and facilitates collaboration between nursing personnel and other healthcare disciplines throughout the organization and within the healthcare community. The nursing education supervisor contributes to the strategic planning process and attainment of goals of the organization. This role is eligible for TN sponsorship. Successful sponsorship will require state licensure and completion of the VisaScreen or equivalent certification. Qualifications Master's Degree in Nursing or a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing with a Master's Degree in Education. Minimum of three years of nursing practice experience. Minimum of two years of nursing education experience. Demonstrated leadership in committee or projects. License and Certification A valid driver's license is required. Current RN license or current license deemed acceptable by the Florida State Board of Nursing.
