Job description: Job Summary Cardinal Correctional Care is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team working in a correctional institution setting as the Nurse Manager. This position will play a crucial role in providing quality patient care under the supervision of physicians as well as leading our teams of LVN's and RN's in Missouri. This position requires a compassionate individual who is dedicated to improving patient outcomes through effective communication and clinical skills. Duties Lead and work with LVN's and RN's on site at various county jails in Central Missouri. Work with Physicians and NP's to come up with care plans for patients. Work with leadership to ensure facilities have coverage of staff. Conduct physical examinations and assess patients' health status by taking vital signs and documenting findings. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Provide care for patients with infectious diseases, offering education on prevention and management. Assist in the development and implementation of individualized care plans based on patient needs. Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate patient care, including referrals to specialists when necessary. Support behavioral health initiatives by recognizing mental health issues and providing appropriate interventions. Skills Proficient in medical terminology and understanding of internal medicine practices. Strong ability to perform physical examinations and interpret vital signs accurately. Knowledgeable in infectious disease care protocols and best practices. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while maintaining professionalism. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Correctional Healthcare Experience is a PLUS but not mandatory.
