Position Summary Supports physicians, nurses, and other clinicians as the primary liaison for requests related to Electronic Medical Record (EMR) utilization. Works with HSC, site IT/clinical staff leadership, and subject matter experts to develop, implement, support, and educate on EMR products and improve patient care. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties or task may be requested or assigned by immediate supervisor, his/her designee, or other management/supervisor. * Assists clinicians in work flow discussions, patient care strategy, and HSC standards to better support and adopt technology. * Rounds with the clinical staff, engaging with them to identify EMR issues, and providing education and remediation when appropriate. * Participates in the implementation of certified EMR applications and interfaces. Under the direction of the HSC where applicable; coordinates, facilitates, and evaluates clinician/physician functional testing before and after upgrades and improvements. * Engages in EMR testing as required to ensure the system is ready for production. This includes testing of new enhancements/packages, updates, and upgrades. * Assists in the development of plans to rollout new functionality to facility clinicians. This includes training plans, testing plans, and go live support planning. * Collaborates with the clinical staff and the HSC where applicable to develop, organize and maintain standards within the EMR clinical documentation. * Develops and/or provides education and support to clinical staff physicians and clinical staff on the EMR and related applications. * Acts as a liaison between the clinical end users and the HSC customer support staff. * Participates in the development and validation of specifications for HSC report writers so that facility reporting requirements are known and documented. * Serves as an advocate for the clinician in designing EMR enhancements and new technologies. * Proactively identifies problems, suggests/implements solutions, and reviews problems for lessons learned. * Proactively expresses self in individual and group situations; verbal and written messages are clear, concise and appropriate to the situation; actively listens to others and promotes two-way communications. * Dependable, present at work and consistently on time.
