Overview 4-Medical is a 27-bed inpatient medical-surgical unit that cares for a diverse patient population, with a focus on gastrointestinal illnesses and diabetes management. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate nurse who is passionate about patient-centered care and eager to join a collaborative healthcare team that includes Registered Nurses (RNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and Nurse Externs. The ideal candidate is committed to delivering high-quality, evidence-based care in a fast-paced environment where teamwork and clinical excellence are valued every day. Responsibilities Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care in accordance with hospital policies and standards of nursing practice. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians. Monitor patient conditions, recognize changes, and respond appropriately in accordance with hospital policies and standards of nursing practice Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and support staff to ensure effective care coordination. Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and promptly Educate patients and families regarding conditions, procedures, and ongoing care needs. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure patient safety. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for patients and staff. Qualifications Valid NC RN license or Compact State RN license required BCLS required One year of experience in medical-surgical nursing (preferred) Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking and communication skills Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Able to work Weekdays, Weekends, and Holidays
