Full Job Description

What You’ll Do Registered Nurses at Newport Healthcare provide on-site nursing and attendant care to adolescents and/or young adults in our treatment. Key responsibilities include: Completing client health screenings and providing direct care and nursing services as needed, including monitoring any chronic health conditions Evaluating medical complaints and concerns from residents during on-site hours and relaying information to the appropriate NP/MD Serving as a vital part of your patients’ multidisciplinary treatment teams Administering medications and ordering medication refills Complying with all policies and procedures, e.g., OSHA, HIPAA, medical protocols, infection control, and local, state, and federal regulations What Makes You a Great Fit Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse License in state where you are applying (required) Experience in residential nursing (preferred, not required) Ability to make good decisions based your analysis, wisdom, experience, and judgment A compassionate, patient-first mindset that supports you to reach the highest standards in delivery of care Cultural competency and sensitivity to patients’ unique experience and backgrounds The capacity to multitask and to remain calm and organized, even when under pressure or in stressful situations Additional Details Part-time 3p - 11p with every other weekend rotation
