MEDICAL FACILITY SURVEYOR - ACUTE AND CONTINUING CARE PROGRAMS (ACC) Full-time, Part-Time and Casual openings. Relocation is not necessary. Travel is required. RESPONSIBILITIES: Registered Nurse Surveyors within Acute and Continuing Care Programs will complete surveys on facilities such as hospitals, ambulatory surgical centers, rural health clinics, critical access hospitals and home health and hospice. The Surveyor will conduct surveys in accordance with the State Operations Manual (SOM) and will prepare a deficiency report in accordance with the Principles of Documentation (PoD) and the HMS Master Writing Guide. The ACC Surveyor will communicate survey findings through the approved Quality Assurance process. The Surveyor will identify opportunities for improvement in the survey process and will effectively communicate said opportunities to the appropriate leadership staff. The Surveyor should be willing to accept survey assignments as needed and as directed by CMS and HMS. * Travel will be extensive.
